Hey there…I think you told us this morning that the contest info was online. Either I misheard you or I am just plain blind. Is it somewhere here? Or there? Or somewhere?? Thanks,Tammy
It's at http://getfitnhbootcamp.com/s3/
Dean – quick question are beans (black, Kidney) allowed on this plan??
Great question Barbara. Technically no, because by themselves they do not constitute a lean protein, and would need to be combined with seeds, nuts or grains to be complete. Simplicity over the short term is the probable reason they are not there. That being said, over the long term beans are an excellent source of nutrition.
I want to know which class has already designed their shirt knowing they are going to win the class versus class competition?just asking…..
I am guessing it is a Concord class. We are a cocky group of boot campers!
Ah, but which class?
WHOA – You cannot count out the 6pm class just yet…
I just want to say… I am heading into the weekend for the biggest challenge. Work at Johnsons (fried food galore!) … I'm using this as a motivational tactic that I WILL BEHAVE!! Now it's in print and I have to step up to the plate (or away from the plate as the case may be…) Bringing my own snacks and planning my weekend meals now! XOXO! Keep it Real (go green), Livin' the Dream…. of and of course …Let's Beat Dean at his own game
Hi Nancy and fellow S3 participants,I am looking for an "Eternal Eating" compliant meal to take to a party, so I need to feed a lot of people, be able to transport it, and, by the way, I want it to taste great without ruining my chances of beating Dean at the S3 contest. Any ideas, anyone?
Shrimp Cocktail with sauceYou can buy the already cooked and chilled shrimp or prepare them yourself ahead of time. Serve this with a garden salad and you’re all set to stay compliant and dazzle your friends. You can buy prepared cocktail sauce just watch the ingredients for hidden sugars. Here is a simple one I like to use. Seafood Cocktail Sauce 1/2 cup Tomato Juice? 1 tsp Horseradish? 1/2 tsp Worcestershire Sauce? 1/2 tsp Vinegar? 1/2 tsp Lemon Juice? 1 Parsley spring, choppedMix thoroughly and chill. Good with all seafood. Makes about 1/2 cup. Depending on the gathering you can bring a meat and cheese tray. You can make your own choices on what type of meat you like at the party. No one will notice if you don’t make the typical sandwich. And if they do, so what. Just explain what you are doing and why and they’ll encourage you to beat the trainer too. ?Chicken k-bobs also come to mind but they are an issue with travel. I have a great recipe for Saute’d garlic Shrimp and you can accompany that with mashed cauliflower but again the travel is an issue.Do any of those help?

Thanks, Nancy! All great ideas and the best part is, on a day like this, they are really easy! I was going to make a crock pot dish with chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and fresh basil but it felt like too much time in the kitchen! I'm off to Concord Beef and Seafood for some great deli meat!
Good for you Helen! My other suggestions involved soup but on days like this no one wants soup.
Hi Helen,My suggestion would be a fruit salad. Who doesn't enjoy a great fruit salad, especially at this time of year, the beginning of spring!
Might want to lay a little low on too much fruit – but just for a limited time…
Thanks, Dee, fruit salad does sound great today but it will have to wait until after this etermal eating plan is over (exactly WHY is it called eternal? Is it going to feel like eternity? I hope not).
Hey, where is the pizza on this eating plan? I cannot find pizza on the shopping list! All kidding aside, physically I feel good; I am getting enough to eat and am not hungry. Psychologically it is hard. I am meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow. I am fine if I order a salad with oil and vinegar for dressing right?
Don't forget to add some grilled chicken with the salad.
Baked haddock in water and lemon, no crumbs + veggie, no potato is ok too… right?? tell me I'm getting the hang of this
… I just plain avoided going with the boys to 'fastfood' dinner after the soccer game tonight – too much temptation… met them at the house with my salad.
Gretchen I'm proud of you. You are getting the hang of it. protein and non starchy veggies. So how does it feel to have succeeded over the fast food temptation?
is Yogurt allowed on this plan? I didn't see it anywhere so it prob isn't……
Deb,With this diet plan we tried to make things as simple as possible. Making substitutions needs careful consideration of several items. We compared yogurt to its counterpart Kefir. Kefir is lower in calories and carbohydrates in all varieties.
Where is the food tracker sheet again? I can't find it…
